Emma, Oti and Rylans’s Big Red Nose Day Challenge

Media Management and full Post Production
BBC

Our 3rd annual Comic Relief Challenge project, this year involved a trio of celebrities attempting to summit the Cairn Gorm mountain in the Scottish Highlands. With 70 mph winds, freezing temperatures and an extremely tight turnaround in post production, planning and support was key!

PRE PRODUCTION PLANNING

We worked closely with the production team to ensure the rushes media management on location was planned out as efficiently and effectively as possible. We also acted as technical liaison between production and our camera and sound crews ensuring shoot format, file naming conventions, and card management had all been planned out prior to the Challenge shoot.

PRODUCTION

One key team member from Twofour Post Production took on the role of location DIT, and technical contact with the camera and location sound team. As the shoot came to a close he found himself prepping rushes for ingest in the highest restaurant in the UK!

POST PRODUCTION

Our Edit Assistants followed detailed shoot notes to ingest and thoroughly prep the rushes ahead of the offline starting. They then worked alongside the Editors to sync pull, find footage, cut scenes, run exports and offer support from early morning to late at night.

Our Online, Dub and Delivery team worked closely with the Offline and wider production team to ensure a smooth and speedy final post. With our facilities located in Devon, our remote live review and approval system for both picture and sound were utilised, making us incredibly flexible and reactive to the production needs. Our clients attended final post in the building and simultaneously joined remotely for a totally collaborative experience before a successful delivery to the channel the night before TX.
